Everything has a starting point

Meet Sun Life advisor and Blue Whale founder and CEO, Joe Moffat, who’s entrepreneurial spirit ignited at a young age.

Life took an unexpected turn for Joe when his father passed away. Suddenly, the family’s sole source of income needed to adjust. Joe took this as a learning opportunity and created his own lawn mowing business to help provide for his family.

At the end of each day, Joe and his friends who helped would indulge in their favourite blue whale candies. These candies quickly became a symbol of a job well done. The inception of the Blue Whale name eventually came from looking back to those times.

Fast forward over 2 decades and not much has changed in the fundamentals of Joe’s wealth creation and management philosophy. Of course, there are different goals and larger gains than a bag of candies, but the principles remain the same. It’s clear to Joe that commitment, sacrifice, hard work and generosity in the pursuit of one’s goals can pay off. Like sharing his hard-earned blue whale candies, Joe’s dedicated to sharing his expertise with Clients and his team.
